Making your own Taco Shells...from corn tortillas

If you buy taco shells, they start getting stale and uncrispy as soon as you break the package seal....or they gat cracked.  Here how to make your own with a toaster oven, fresh and crispy when you want them from corn tortillas.  Also you can make them so they are wide  and stand by themselves, much like these:


I got some hardware cloth and bent it into a mold for taceo shell toasting.  Here they are on the left below with the finished toasted taco shells

 

You begin by placing the mold or form over the grate wires of your toaster oven rack above right

Then you fit a corn tortilla over the form and bake it, maybe 20 minutes at 275, below left.  After baking it's formed as you see below right
