Poems

My first poem dates from July 2003.  I started writing them as I realized that  my attempt at essays and letters, usually about politics
or other human idiocy were  a) dust dry, b) futile, c) harder and harder to formulate and express,
d) meaning less and less in any real sense and e) about subjects without any real and final depth or consequence.

When I started writing blank verse, everything came together.  It was no longer necessary to think and halt and think and rewrite: the poems spoke themselves...not perfectly but oh so much more real and present.  Even this wants to break into verse.
And I began to approach what I have sought in large-format photography: the numinous innocent gaze to the heart of Creation
